Visitors Guide to St Just

Situated in-between Penzance and Land's End, St Just faces west out onto the Atlantic Ocean at one of the most westerly points of the UK. It is an ancient Cornish town with a strong mining tradition. Visit "Plen-an-gwary" a traditional Cornish playing place in the centre of town. This large, outdoor amphitheatre was traditionally used for public instruction, theatre or sports in the Middle Ages. Today it plays host to festivals in the town's vibrant creative community. It is a living piece of history, rooted in the past and present.
