Visitors Guide to leicester

Whoever you’re with, whatever you enjoy, Leicestershire, which lies at the heart of England, cannot fail to inspire you. From the great outdoor attractions to a night on the tiles or live entertainment, there’s plenty to discover. March to June is a fabulous season to be outdoors. From the rugged crags and wooded gorges of Charnwood Forest to the beautiful open uplands of High Leicestershire, this is the perfect area for getting back to nature. Walking is a great way to experience the local landscape with its well signposted footpaths and quiet country lanes. Discover some of England’s prettiest villages on the county's 'Round-a 100 mile' circular walk.

The night life in the city is wonderfully varied. You can start your night off in the cosmopolitan Case Champagne Bar. If you don’t want your night to end there, find the clubs where such names as Lisa Lashes and Farley Jackmaster Funk spin out tunes. Or you can spend the night dancing around your handbag. If clubs aren’t your thing, try the De Montfort Hall or The Musician where you can enjoy intimate music sessions. The Musician has attracted names such as Lethal Bizzle, Dodgy and Joanne Shaw Taylor, or if you’re brave enough try the open-mic session! What are you waiting for?
