Visitors Guide to birmingham

Birmingham is the geographical and cultural heart of the UK; diverse and dynamic, the second largest city in England is also its friendliest.

Visit one of the many leisure complexes in this shopper’s paradise or take a trip to the Bullring centre, a commercial hub in use since the Middle Ages. Soak up the vibrant and varied cultural scene in a local market before strolling down the world famous 40 mile long Balti triangle and sampling the authentic Indian cuisine. Or if you’re after a breath of fresh air, try one of Birmingham’s Five Green Flag status Parks; the Botanical Gardens in particular are a nature lover’s paradise.

The cultural scene is impressive so make sure to stop off at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery as well as the unmissable Jewellery quarter, also known for its great live music. The city boasts one of the best nightlifes around, with a wide range of clubs and bars, so hit the town in true Brummie style on bustling Broad street or the award winning new canal development, Brindleyplace. The friendly Northerners and relaxed atmosphere are sure to make your stay in this truly cosmopolitan city one to remember.
